Advice for Road Runners: The ASICS Men's GT-1000 13 Running Shoes feature a number of updates. These should result in a softer and plusher underfoot experience.

Underfoot Feel

One of the main changes to the ASICS GT-1000 13 Running Shoes is the addition of the PureGEL™ cushioning in the heel. This offers enhanced cushioning and protection, particularly for heel strikers.

In contrast to the previous model, the GT-1000 13 doesn't feature a firmer medial structure. The latest edition relies on the geometry of the cushioning to offer extra support.

To explain further, ASICS' 3D Guidance System delivers added support via a broad based midsole, increased heel bevel, and forefoot flare. Previous wearers are likely to experience a softer and more forgiving underfoot ride.

Upper Fit

The ASICS GT-1000 13 Running Shoes feature a premium engineered mesh upper. It should wrap around your feet and deliver a soft feel.

The lean back ankle design should reduce friction.

Ideal Run Type

The ASICS Men's GT-1000 13 Running Shoes should deliver a protective, yet responsive underfoot sensation. As a result, they're likely to feel comfortable on both slow and steady paced runs.

These should be most suitable for runners who have unstable feet and ankles.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
